My lovely wife, Donna shared the following:

When reading the Scriptures, it never ceases to amaze me of how God speaks on more than one ‘level’ within each context. It is my observation and opinion that He usually speaks in His Word on three main levels at once. Today, He lead me to a portion that really works as that example.

Here are the ways I see that God speaks all at the same time:

1. Spiritual. He of course speaks to us in our Spiritual walk with Him. The Word is full of reminders of our walk and how He is our Restorer and His Promises are True. He guides us by what we should and should not do for our Spiritual well being.

2. Literal/Physical – Yes, the Bible is historical, but more than that I believe God tells us physically what has happened, what WILL happen and personally where we are/will be in this life. He speaks of our physical place (where we live or move) and our position or role in this life.

3. Israel – As God’s Chosen Race, He always is wooing His beloved people. Each verse has something to say to the Hebrew Nation. In times of prosperity, war or His return. All verses are pointed for the Chosen People of God.

Reading this Scripture below was no different; God is speaking again on all three levels at the same time. Whether you are in a Spiritual wilderness where God seems to have abandoned you, whether you are physically not in a place you feel you should be, either a job or town or role, whether you are anxious over the wars in the middle east…God addresses each of these areas so clearly in the portion of the Word He lead me to this morning:

Jeremiah 29 Read This Chapter

29:11

For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says ADONAI,’plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.

29:12

When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you.

29:13

When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly;

29:14

and I will let you find me,’ says ADONAI. ‘Then I will reverse your exile. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have driven you,’ says ADONAI, ‘and bring you back to the place from which I exiled you.’

For some reason God prompted me to write this down and to share it. It is very rare that He does that, in fact, I can say that He has felt far from me for a while now so this ‘move’ to do something that it seems He impressed upon me is quite unexpected as I have lately been really force feeding myself His Word more than actually knowing His Presence. It surprises me to feel compelled to do this, but feelings or no feelings, I must still be obedient.

We serve THE MIGHTY God.

Blessings and Peace – in our Risen Messiah!
